My name is Freya Steele, I am a driven and motivated wildlife film-maker and photographer, I want to help make a difference to the planet and save the species that live in it. I want to inspire the future generation to learn and care about our world’s wildlife. I write blogs, take photographs of wildlife, landscape, weddings, events and produce films, all in the name of spreading the word about all the wonderful things nature has to offer. I am an active social media user for my work, so feel free to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter.
Here is a little bit about what I have been up to; I completed a BA Hons in Wildlife Media at the University of Cumbria in May 2017. Throughout university and in my spare time I have developed plenty of practical experience. I have volunteered abroad, at events such as Wildscreen. I have also done work experience with Maramedia and Films @ 59. I was lucky enough to be offered a job as a runner with Films @ 59 as a result of my work experience and I have just finished an 11 month contract with them in April 2018. I have been a runner on BBC’s Winterwatch and Springwatch and am currently working with Voltage TV on a live series about a beach. I have also been a runner with Love Productions and IWC Media. After my contract with Films @ 59 I worked as a logger on a natural history programme for Plimsoll Productions. I am hoping to do some conservation work, and work closer with animals and see what I can do to save them.
I hope you enjoy my website and that you like my work! Please don’t hesitate to contact me regarding any queries you may have!
